Adjustment of a joint may result in release of a gas bubble between the joints that makes a popping sound – it’s exactly the same as when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint.
No. Making a joint "pop," is not an adjustment! Usually, more damage can occur by moving a joint with weakened muscles and ligaments. The “pop” may relieve the tension for a little while, but the pain will keep coming back. Adjustments given by a chiropractor are specific and take years to learn.
The initial visit will take approximately 45 min. to one hour. The first visit includes a complete health history and thorough physical examination of your complaint area (s). After the initial visit, treatments last approximately 30 minutes.
